Are tangerines good for diabetics?

I have diabetes and my doctor told me to include more fruits, but also to be careful about sugar content. Tangerines are in season now, and I enjoy them. Are tangerines generally good for diabetics, or should I limit them?

Haan, tangerines bilkul kha sakte hain, bas quantity ka dhyan rakhna padega na. Inme natural sugar hoti hai toh pure din mein ek ya do se zyada mat khana. And juice peene se achha hai ki fruit hi khao taaki fiber mile.

They are quite healthy because of the fiber, ho na. Just eat them whole instead of drinking the juice, as juice spikes sugar very fast. A small tangerine in the afternoon is perfectly fine, haan.

I am trying to learn about diabetic-friendly fruits for my mother. Are tangerines safer than normal oranges, or do they have the same amount of sugar? I want to make sure I don't give her anything that causes a spike.

Tangerines are great because they are low-calorie and have fiber, which helps control sugar spikes. If you eat one, try pairing it with a 15-minute brisk walk right after to help your body process the carbs even better. Always consult your physician first though.

While tangerines have vitamin C and fiber, citrus fruits still contain natural sugars that can affect blood glucose levels. You should check your blood sugar before and after eating them. Always consult your doctor to see how it fits into your daily routine.
