Are sun chips good for diabetics?

My doctor recently told me I have pre-diabetes, so I'm trying to be more careful with my diet. I sometimes like having a snack, and was wondering if 'sun chips' would be a good option or something I should avoid. My friend says they're healthy but I'm not sure.

Let's be real, chips are chips, even if they claim to be made of whole grains. They are processed and contain carbs that will spike your blood sugar. It is better to avoid them and eat roasted chana instead.

From what I have seen over the years, any food that comes out of a sealed plastic packet is usually not ideal for us diabetics. Whole grains are good, but processed chips have preservatives and flour. Stick to simple ghar ka khana.

Honestly, I am too tired to even cook, but even I know these 'healthy' chips are a trap, haha. They still have plenty of carbs that will mess up your levels. Better to just sleep off the hunger or grab some peanuts.

Actually, they are not that great for diabetes, yaar. Even though they say whole grain, the carb count is still super high. I checked the back of the packet once and decided it is better to avoid it.

I can only tell you about my own experience. My doctor strictly advised me to stay away from all store-bought chips, including whole grain ones, as they still affect my daily sugar readings. I now only eat homemade roasted makhana.

I get so worried looking at the nutrition labels because even 'healthy' chips have so many carbs. It makes me so anxious to eat anything processed now. Please check with your doctor before trying them, just to be absolutely safe.

I used to eat these thinking they are healthy whole grains, but my glucose monitor showed a massive spike afterward. I recently stopped all packaged chips and my HbA1c has finally come down. Please avoid them.

Agreed, processed chips are not safe for diabetes. Better to stick to raw cucumber or nuts for snacks.

Take care of your health with a peaceful mind. These packaged snacks often have hidden sugars and sodium, which might not be good for your body. Stay positive, focus on fresh home-cooked food, and let nature heal you.

I ate a small packet of these yesterday and felt a bit dizzy and thirsty afterwards. Did anyone else experience a sudden sugar spike after eating them? I am a bit worried now.
