Are strawberries bad for diabetics?

I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and am trying to control my sugar levels through diet. My wife said that fruits like strawberries might be bad for diabetics because of their sugar content, so I'm a bit confused.

Even though strawberries are low in sugar, individual tolerance can vary. It is always best to check your blood sugar levels two hours after eating them to see the impact, and discuss this with your physician.

Not at all, strawberries are actually excellent for a diabetic diet because they are very low in carbs and high in vitamin C. Just make sure you eat them raw and don't mix them into sweet milkshakes or commercial yoghurts.

I have been managing my type 2 diabetes for 15 years now and I eat a handful of strawberries regularly during winter. They never spike my sugar because of their high fiber content. You can safely enjoy them in moderate quantities!

I panicked completely when my diabetic husband ate a whole bowl of strawberries last year, thinking his sugar would shoot up. But when we checked his levels, they were perfectly normal! They are totally safe, so please don't worry.
