Are smoothies good for diabetics?

My doctor told me to watch my sugar intake very carefully because of my diabetes. I was thinking of making smoothies for breakfast, but I'm not sure if they're safe for someone with my condition. Will the fruit sugar be an issue?

True, smoothies can cause major sugar spikes really fast. If u still want to have them, always put green veggies and more fiber like chia seeds to slow down the sugar.

Actually tracking your macros is super important here. When I log fruit smoothies on my app, the carbs shoot up crazy high because we blend out the natural fiber. Better to eat whole fruits or use a glucose monitor to see how your body reacts to them.

I can only speak for myself but liquid fruit drinks never suited me. My blood sugar shot up to 240 once after a simple banana apple smoothie. Now I just stick to whole fruits like guava and apples as my doc suggested.

Bhai why go for expensive complicated smoothies ghar pe simple light food khao. If you want something refreshing, just make thin salted buttermilk (chaas) with some roasted cumin. It is completely safe, zero sugar, and keeps you cool.

Everyone's diabetes is different and some bodies can't handle even natural sugars. Please don't experiment based on online videos. Get a proper diet plan from your doctor or diabetologist who knows your exact HbA1c levels.
