Are red beans the same as red kidney beans?

As I try to cook more healthy meals for myself, I'm getting confused about beans. My hostel mate said 'red beans' are different from 'red kidney beans', but they look the same to me. Can someone explain?

They are generally the same, but don't blindly follow online diet advice claiming they cure health conditions. Always verify with a qualified dietitian or doctor before making them a major part of your therapeutic diet.

Yes, they are. I remember crying out of frustration trying to find 'kidney beans' in my local store, not realizing it was just regular rajma. It's totally fine to get confused by these health terms.

Yes, they are the same species of bean, commonly called rajma. They are highly nutritious, but if you are managing any chronic conditions, checking with your doctor or clinical nutritionist is always the safest approach.

Yes beta, they are the same. I have been eating them for sixty years and they have kept me strong. Don't worry too much about the names, just eat clean, home-cooked food.

Yeah bro, they are the same thing. I eat them almost every week for my protein intake. Just pressure cook them well and you are good to go.

Yes, they are the same. I used to ignore severe gas and stomach pain thinking it was just a normal reaction to rajma, but it turned out to be an ulcer. Please get a proper checkup if you feel persistent discomfort.

They are the same. My doctor explained that they are rich in soluble fiber, which helps lower bad cholesterol levels. Just make sure to soak them thoroughly to reduce phytates before cooking.
