Are pretzels good for a diabetic?
My elder brother has diabetes, and I'm always looking for snack options for him that won't spike his sugar. He saw pretzels at the shop and asked if they'd be okay. Can diabetics eat pretzels without issues?

I know how exhausting and depressing it is to constantly restrict your diet when dealing with diabetes. Pretzels are unfortunately very high in refined flour and carbs, which can cause sudden spikes. It's tough, but choosing safer snacks is better for your long-term peace.
Stay positive and take good care of your health, dear. Food should bring peace to the body, and since pretzels have highly processed flour, they might not suit your sugar levels. Try simple roasted nuts instead, they are much closer to nature.
My uncle has diabetes and he completely avoids pretzels because they are basically just maida and salt. They spike your blood sugar super fast. He usually goes for roasted chana or baked ragi chips instead.
I get so anxious reading nutrition labels, and pretzels have so much sodium and refined carbs! This combination can be really tricky for blood pressure and blood sugar. Please be careful and maybe check your sugar levels if you decide to have a few.
Honestly, pretzels look harmless but they are a total carb bomb for diabetics! If you are craving something crunchy, roasted peanuts or baked makhana with some chaat masala are way more delicious and much safer for your sugar.
