Are premier protein shakes good for diabetics?

My doctor advised me to include more protein in my diet to help manage my diabetes. I saw these 'Premier Protein' shakes advertised. Are they a good and safe option for someone with high sugar levels like me?

I totally get it, trying to find low-sugar snacks when you have diabetes is so stressful. Premier shakes are popular because they are low in sugar, but please be careful and monitor how your body reacts to the artificial sweeteners.

They only have 1 gram of sugar, so on paper, they are great for diabetics. But honestly, look at the ingredients list; they contain artificial sweeteners which can still mess with some people's insulin response. Try it and check your levels after an hour.

Instead of these packaged shakes, I always suggest home options like sattu water or buttermilk with roasted cumin for diabetics. However, if your doctor says you need extra protein, you can consider these, but do consult them if your sugar levels fluctuate suddenly.

At the hospital where I get my regular checkups, the dietician always says to ask your doctor clearly before adding processed protein drinks to your diet. Every diabetic's body handles sugar substitutes differently, so safe is better than sorry.

Actually, they are pretty decent yaar because they have high protein and barely any carbs. I bought them for my uncle who has diabetes, but we still make sure he doesn't drink them daily. Real food is always better, honestly.

Haan bhai, sugar toh kam hoti hai inme, but taste thoda synthetic lagta hai na. My dad had them for a while and his sugar didn't spike, but it's still better to check with your doc before making it a habit.

I can only speak from my personal experience, but I have been drinking these after my morning walks and they haven't caused any noticeable spikes in my sugar readings. Still, everyone's body is different, so track your own blood sugar to be sure.

I really want to try these shakes to manage my sweet cravings, but I'm so scared they might cause a sudden sugar spike. Has anyone else with type 2 diabetes tried them? Did they affect your fasting glucose the next day?
