Are potatoes good for liver?

I'm trying to eat healthier and look after my liver, especially as I'm getting older. I know some foods are good for the liver, and some are not. I was wondering about potatoes – are they considered beneficial for liver health?

Plain boiled potatoes are a decent source of energy, but eating too many high-glycemic carbs can contribute to fatty liver. I keep my potato portions small and stay active with daily brisk walks. If your doctor allows regular exercise, definitely combine it with clean eating.

My grandmother used to say simple boiled vegetables are best for digestion and body health. However, for specific liver conditions, it is always safest to trust your doctor's advice. Simple, home-cooked food in moderate amounts is generally the best path.

Potatoes aren't directly 'good' or 'bad' for the liver, but high-carb diets can increase liver fat if you're not careful. I use a fitness app to track my daily macros and ensure my carbohydrate intake stays within limits. Try logging your meals to stay on track.

I used to eat heavy, oily potato dishes daily and ignored my mild abdominal heaviness, which later turned out to be fatty liver grade 2. Please don't take liver health lightly. Get a proper LFT and ultrasound checkup done to see what your body actually needs.

Boiled potatoes are fine in moderation, but fried potatoes are bad for liver health. Keep it simple and low-oil.
