Are popsicles good for vomiting?

My son is having some episodes of vomiting today. He doesn't want to eat anything solid and even water he is throwing up. I was thinking of giving him a small popsicle for some relief. Is it good to give popsicles when someone is vomiting?

Haan ji, jab ulti hoti hai toh pet bilkul khali ho jata hai aur paani bhi nahi pachta. Ice lolly ya popsicle ko dhere dhere choosne se gale ko thandak milti hai aur ulti rukti hai. Bachon ko bhi yeh bahut pasand aata hai aise samay.

Be very careful if the vomiting is severe or accompanied by extreme weakness or dizziness, as these are red flags. My sister kept trying home remedies and her electrolytes dropped dangerously low. If it doesn't stop after a few hours, please visit a clinic.

Actually yaar, it's a great hack because your stomach is too sensitive for gulping water. The cold temperature helps to calm the vomiting reflex instantly. Just don't go for milk-based ones, stick to water or lime flavors.

When my kids had gastric flu, regular water just came right back up. I froze ORS solution into popsicle moulds and gave them that to lick slowly. It prevents severe dehydration perfectly without burdening the stomach.

I think it might work because the cold sensation reduces nausea, which I sometimes get with my PCOS medication. But I'd suggest making sugar-free or natural juice popsicles at home so you don't trigger insulin spikes while trying to feel better.

Please don't blindly trust these social media hacks for medical issues. While cold fluids can numb the throat, vomiting can be due to severe infections or dehydration that needs medical attention. Talk to a doctor before self-treating with sugar ice.
