Are plums kidney friendly?

My doctor recently told me I need to be careful with my diet to support my kidney health. I often eat plums when they're available. Are plums considered kidney-friendly, or do they have high potassium or other things to watch out for?

Please be careful if you have kidney issues. I ate a lot of potassium-rich fruits and it caused complications with my blood pressure. Get a doctor's advice first.

I got so scared when I saw plums have potassium because of my dad's kidney health. But later, our doctor said moderate amounts are perfectly safe and healthy.

Haan, they have moderate potassium levels, na. If you don't have kidney disease, then you don't need to worry at all, enjoy them!

We go to a top nephrologist for my grandfather, and he always says to check potassium levels before eating fruits like plums. Ask your doctor clearly based on your reports.

For general health, plums are wonderful and full of antioxidants. Just eat one or two a day, excess of anything is not good for the body.

Look, if your kidneys are healthy, plums are absolutely fine. But if you already have CKD or any kidney disease, limit them because of the potassium.
