Are pills bad for your liver?

I've been taking medication for my blood pressure for many years now. My neighbour recently mentioned that taking too many pills can be bad for the liver. Is there truth to this, are pills generally bad for your liver in the long run?

Well, popping painkillers like candy just to get over a food coma or headache is definitely bad for your liver! I used to do that, but now I try to drink water and eat clean instead. Your liver has to process all those chemicals, so give it a break from unnecessary pills.

Some daily pills can put a strain on your liver over time. Since I take daily thyroid medication, my doctor always schedules routine Liver Function Tests (LFT) and blood work every six months to make sure everything is functioning fine. Regular follow-ups with your doctor are very important.

I know how exhausting it is when you are dealing with chronic pain or illness and feel forced to take so many pills while constantly worrying about liver damage. It's a scary feeling to feel like you are hurting one organ to fix another. Your feelings are totally valid, but please discuss this openly with your doctor.

Listen, taking prescribed medicines under a doctor's guidance is usually safe, but self-medicating with over-the-counter painkillers or random supplements can definitely damage your liver. Don't take unnecessary risks with your health. Always consult a professional before starting any pill.

Haan bilkul, bina doctor ki salah ke koi bhi random pills khana liver ke liye dangerous ho sakta hai na. Kuch log har choti baat pe painkiller kha lete hain, jo bilkul galat hai. Hamesha doctor se pooch kar hi dawaai leni chahiye.

In our family, elders always warn us against taking too many English medicines, preferring home remedies instead. However, we must trust our doctor because they know the safe dosage for our body. Never self-medicate, and always ask your physician if a pill is safe for long-term use.

I used to take strong pain pills daily for back pain without consulting a doctor, and I ignored the mild fatigue and yellowing of my eyes. It turned out to be early-stage drug-induced liver injury, and I regret my ignorance so much. Please get regular liver checkups if you are on long-term medication.
