Are pickles good for your liver?
I'm trying to maintain good liver health through my diet. I know fermented foods can be good for digestion. What about pickles specifically? Are pickles considered beneficial for your liver?

I was diagnosed with mild fatty liver recently and I am really confused about what to eat. I love having mango pickle with my rice, but is the high oil and salt content bad for liver health? Has anyone else with fatty liver been told to strictly avoid pickles by their doctor?
Pickles aren't really doing any favors for your liver because of the saturated fats and high sodium. To keep your liver in top shape, I find that a clean diet combined with a 45-minute daily walk is much more effective. Definitely check with your doctor first, but increasing your physical activity really helps detoxify the body naturally.
I totally get it, giving up our favorite pickles is so hard when we are trying to eat healthy. But honestly, the preservatives, heavy oil, and spice in store-bought pickles can put extra load on your liver. It is much better to focus on fresh, boiled, or lightly cooked foods to give your liver some rest.
Achaar mein bohot tel aur namak hota hai babu, jo hamare jigar ke liye theek nahi hai. Agar pet ya jigar mein koi takleef hai, toh sadha khana khao aur achaar se thoda door hi raho. Ek baar kisi acche doctor ko dikha lo toh sabse badhiya rahega.
From my own experience, highly processed and salty foods like pickles can disturb the natural balance of our body's organs. For liver health, I have found practicing gentle pranayama like Kapalbhati and eating fresh, organic vegetables to be incredibly healing. It is always best to let your body heal naturally with simple, pure food.
