Are people born with asthma?

My younger nephew was recently diagnosed with asthma. His parents are very worried and keep asking if it's something he was born with. I wanted to understand if asthma is typically a birth condition or if it develops later.

People are not strictly born with asthma, but they can inherit a genetic tendency towards it, which triggers later in life due to environmental factors. If you or your child are experiencing any breathing difficulties or wheezing, please consult a pulmonologist immediately for a proper diagnosis.

Look, nobody is born with fully developed asthma on day one, but genes do play a big role. It usually shows up in early childhood or even later when dust and pollution trigger it. Don't sit and guess, just take the patient to a good doctor if they are struggling to breathe.

My daughter developed asthma when she was three years old, though no one in our family had it. Her pediatrician explained that while children aren't born with active asthma, their sensitive lungs can react to dust and allergies very early. Keeping the home dust-free really helps.

Arre, don't stress too much about this. People usually develop asthma over time due to allergies, dust, or weather changes rather than being born with it. Just keep an inhaler handy if a doctor has suggested it, and stay relaxed!
