Are pears good for diabetics?

I was diagnosed with diabetes last year, and I'm still learning about which fruits are best for managing blood sugar. My wife brought home some pears today, and I'm wondering if they are a good fruit choice for someone with diabetes.

I totally feel your pain, managing diabetes is emotionally exhausting because you constantly worry if every fruit is going to spike your sugar. But honestly, pears have a low glycemic index and lots of fiber, so they are quite safe. Just take it one day at a time, you are doing great.

Yes, pears are actually very good for diabetics because of their high fiber content. Just make sure to eat them raw with the skin on instead of juicing them. Hope this simple tip helps you out.

Pears are excellent because they don't cause sudden insulin spikes and provide clean energy. If you are active and working out, having half a pear pre-workout is a solid option. Just keep an eye on your overall daily carb intake and consult your coach or doc.

I actually track my meals on an app, and a medium pear has about 15-20g of slow-digesting carbs and plenty of fiber, which makes it perfect for diabetics. Try pairing it with a few almonds to balance the glycemic load even more. It really helps keep the blood glucose graph flat!

My roommate's dad is diabetic and whenever he visits, we always have pears at home because he says they are super safe for him. Plus, they taste great and are a much better snack than biscuits. So yeah, definitely go for it!
