Are olives good for diabetics?

My friend who also has diabetes was telling me she often snacks on olives. I'm trying to make healthier food choices for myself too. Are olives considered a good food option for diabetics?

Olives have a very low glycemic index and are rich in antioxidants, which actually helps with insulin sensitivity. I always suggest people add them to their salads or meals, but just wash them once to reduce the excess salt from the packaging.

Yes, olives are quite safe and good for diabetes. You can have them in small amounts without worrying about your blood sugar levels going up.

From a clinical perspective, the monounsaturated fats in olives are very heart-friendly, which is a big plus for diabetic patients. Just keep an eye on the sodium content if you also have blood pressure issues, and you are good to go.

Humare yahan ye zyada milti nahi par suna hai olives bohot acchi hoti hain sugar ke bimarion ke liye. Isse sugar badhta nahi hai, bas thodi matra mein hi khayein toh fayda karega.

I was thinking of adding olives to my diet to manage my borderline diabetes, but I got worried about the high salt content in the canned ones. Has anyone else felt bloated or noticed water weight after eating them? Let me know please.

My mom was diagnosed with diabetes recently and we were looking up safe snacks. Olives are really great because they don't cause any sugar spikes at all. She usually has a few with some cucumber slices in the afternoon.
