Are nuts bad for diabetics?

My doctor told me to watch my diet very carefully as I have diabetes. Some people say nuts are good, but others warn against them. I want to know if nuts are generally considered bad for diabetics.

Actually, nuts are generally great for diabetics because they have healthy fats and low carbs. Just keep the portions small and avoid the salted or fried ones.

I totally get it, managing diabetes is so stressful because you have to double-check literally everything you eat. Don't worry, plain almonds and walnuts are usually very safe and actually help control blood sugar. Just make sure to consult your doctor to find what works best for your body.

At this age, my doctor keeps telling me to eat nuts instead of my favorite samosas, which is honestly a tragedy. But jokes aside, a small handful of almonds is actually good for sugar control. Just don't finish the whole jar while watching TV, like I sometimes do!

In our family, elders always advise eating soaked almonds every morning, which is highly beneficial. My father's diabetologist also confirmed that nuts are excellent for keeping blood sugar stable due to their fiber content. However, please consult your own doctor to get a personalized diet plan.

Nuts are literally the perfect snack when you get those 4 PM cravings but need to watch your sugar levels! Almonds and walnuts give you that nice crunch without spiking your blood sugar. Just stay away from those sugar-coated or honey-roasted ones, they are a total trap.
