Are liver punches illegal in boxing?

I was watching a boxing match recently, and one boxer landed a punch right on the opponent's liver area. I'm curious about the rules of the sport. Are liver punches considered illegal in boxing, or are they fair game?

Haan bhai, they are totally legal in boxing, koi problem nahi hai. Bas punch back of the body pe nahi hona chahiye, front aur side body punches are allowed, na. It's actually one of the most painful punches!

They are allowed in competitive boxing matches. However, our internal organs are very sensitive, so if you are learning the sport, please make sure you train under a certified coach. Safety should always come first.

They are legal, but as someone who manages chronic health issues, I believe protecting your organs is vital. If you participate in combat sports, always consult your physician to ensure you don't have any underlying conditions that make impact dangerous.

They are legal in boxing. But internal injuries can be silent and dangerous. If you have been hit hard, please go to a good hospital and ask your doctor clearly to check for any internal bleeding or organ trauma.

Yes, they are legal. I actually took a nasty liver shot during sparring a month ago and had to rest for two weeks due to severe bruising. If the pain doesn't go away in a day or two, please go get an ultrasound done.

Yes, they are legal in professional boxing. But if you have been hit in the liver during training and are experiencing severe pain, difficulty breathing, or dizziness, don't ignore it. Verify your symptoms with a doctor immediately.

I totally get it, seeing someone get hit there looks absolutely brutal and illegal. But medically and technically in boxing, it is a completely legal shot as long as it isn't a low blow or on the back. It just hurts a lot!

In my younger days, we used to watch a lot of boxing, and the liver shot was always a classic move. It is completely legal. Just make sure the youngsters training today focus on building strong core muscles to protect their organs.

They are legal, but honestly, just thinking about the damage to internal organs makes me so anxious. If you practice boxing, please wear proper protective gear. If you ever feel sharp, lingering pain after a session, please go get an ultrasound done to be safe.

They are definitely legal! My brother does kickboxing and he says a liver shot is the quickest way to drop an opponent. Just make sure to get checked by a doctor if you ever take a heavy blow that leaves you feeling sick.

Yes, they are legal. But if you are training amateurly and get hurt, keep in mind that getting MRIs or ultrasounds in private clinics can cost 5,000 to 8,000 rupees easily. It's much cheaper and practical to focus on solid defensive training to avoid getting hit.

They are legal in the ring. If you are a working professional boxing for fitness, tell your sparring partner to go easy on body shots. You don't want to end up taking sick leave or spending hours in hospital OPDs for a hobby injury.
