Are lawn mowers 2 stroke?
I'm looking to buy a new lawn mower for my garden at home. I'm a bit confused about the engine types; are most common lawnmowers generally 2-stroke or 4-stroke these days?

I recently bought one for my small garden and had to research this. Some older or smaller ones are 2-stroke, but modern ones are mostly 4-stroke. Check the fuel tank cap, it usually tells you if you need to mix oil with petrol.
Honestly, most of the ones I've seen at our college ground are 4-stroke because they don't make that loud buzzing sound. But some cheap ones can be 2-stroke. Just check the manual bro.
Don't stress too much about this! If you have to mix 2T oil with the petrol, then it's a 2-stroke. Just ask any local mechanic nearby, they will tell you in a second.
Actually, it depends on the model, yaar. Older walk-behind mowers are definitely 2-stroke, but the newer ones are mostly 4-stroke because of emission laws. Just check if there is a separate engine oil chamber.
Many of the traditional petrol mowers used in Indian gardens are indeed 2-stroke, though electric ones are very common now. It is always practical to look at the engine specifications booklet.
