Are kidney stones red?

I just passed a kidney stone, and it was sort of reddish-brown. Is that typical? Are kidney stones usually red in color, or can they vary?

I was actually wondering about this too because my cousin passed one. Are they actually red, or do they only look like that if there is some blood in the urine? I am a bit scared to ask my doctor directly.

Bro, honestly most of them are yellow or brownish. If it looks red, it is probably because of blood tinting it, not the stone itself. Don't stress too much but definitely get it checked if u are seeing red stuff.

Please do not ignore if you see any red or pink color in your urine or urine stones. This is a very sensitive matter. You must go to a good urologist immediately and get an ultrasound done to be safe.

People on internet will tell you all kinds of colors and weird home remedies to melt them. Don't believe random websites. Go to a proper lab, do a urine test, and show the report to a real doctor.

My grandmother used to say drinking tender coconut water daily helps clear any kidney heat or stones. But for the color and pain, we must trust the doctor only. They can be brownish, but red usually means a bit of irritation, so please consult a specialist.

Hey! Usually they are dusty yellow or light brown in color. 🌟 If there is a red tint, it might just be some blood from irritation. Drink lots of water and check with your doc soon! 👍

True, they are mostly yellowish-brown. If you are experiencing pain along with red color, please see a doctor immediately.
