Are kidney stones considered a disease?
My father recently had a kidney stone removed, and he's now undergoing tests for it. Is having kidney stones considered a disease in itself, or is it more of a symptom of something else going on?

From what I've been reading, they aren't technically a disease themselves, but rather a medical condition or a disorder. They are basically physical mineral build-ups. It's like having a clog in a pipe rather than a sickness of the pipe itself.
Don't stress, it is not a chronic disease that you have to live with forever. It's just a temporary condition where minerals crystallize in the kidney. Once the stone passes out with water or doctor's treatment, your kidney goes back to normal. Just stay hydrated!
I have had stones twice in my life, and my doctor always told me it's a condition, not a disease. It happens when we don't drink enough water or eat too much of certain foods. Once the stone is out, you are completely fine. Just take care of your daily habits.
Nahi bhaiya, ye koi bimari nahi hai. Ye toh bas shareer ke andar thoda namak aur minerals jama ho jane se pathri ban jati hai. Paani khoob piyo aur thoda dhyan rakho, doctor babu se dawai le lo aur ye bilkul theek ho jata hai.

No, it's not a disease, just a physical condition of mineral accumulation. Regular walking and staying active can actually help in passing small stones naturally, provided your doctor says it's safe. Just focus on a clean diet and lots of water to prevent them.
