Are kidney beans good for ibs?

Suffering from IBS, I have to be very careful with what I eat. I enjoy kidney beans, but sometimes they cause issues. Are they generally considered good or bad for someone with IBS?

According to my macro-tracker, kidney beans are extremely high in fermentable oligosaccharides (FODMAPs). If you have IBS, they can easily cause major bloating and gas. Try logging your symptoms on an app to see if they trigger you.

I wouldn't trust any random wellness blog telling you kidney beans are a cure or safe for IBS. IBS triggers are highly personal. Please consult a gastroenterologist before making big changes to your diet.

Jinhe pet ki takleef hai, unhe rajma thoda soch samajhkar khana chahiye. Isse pet me bhari pan lag sakta hai. Agar khana hi hai, toh acche se ubaal kar aur thoda hing dalkar banayein, aaram rahega.

Yes, totally agree with others. Kidney beans are usually very tough on an IBS stomach, so it is better to avoid them during flare-ups.

I feel you, IBS is so frustrating to deal with! For me, kidney beans are a huge trigger. Maybe you can try lighter options like washed yellow moong dal for your protein needs instead.

Ji, if I eat even a small bowl of rajma, my stomach plays the dhol all night. At my age, IBS and kidney beans are a dangerous combination. Eat them only if you are ready to face the music!

I just went through a severe IBS phase last month. Honestly, cutting out kidney beans was the first thing my doc suggested, and my bloating literally went down in two days. Definitely give them a break for a bit.

IBS can sometimes mimic other serious digestive issues, so please don't self-diagnose or just change your diet. Get a proper clinical assessment done to rule out any other conditions first.
