Are heart palpitations a sign of a heart attack?

Lately, I've been feeling my heart racing or skipping beats sometimes, especially when I'm stressed. My friend told me it could be serious. Are heart palpitations a sign of an impending heart attack? I'm getting quite worried.

Palpitations can happen due to simple anxiety or caffeine, but they can sometimes indicate a heart issue. It is always safest to get an ECG done and consult a doctor immediately to rule out any serious heart problems.

Take a deep breath and don't panic. Palpitations alone are rarely a heart attack, but if they are accompanied by chest tightness, sweating, or difficulty breathing, you must go to a doctor or hospital right away.

I used to get crazy palpitations during exams and thought I was having a heart attack. Turns out it was just panic and too many energy drinks. If there is no chest pain or breathing issue, it's usually just stress, but get it checked if you're worried.

For diabetics like me, rapid heartbeats can also happen during low blood sugar episodes. It is important to check your glucose levels first, but always seek medical advice if your palpitations don't settle down.

Actually, thyroid fluctuations are a very common cause of heart palpitations. Since I have hyperthyroidism, I get them often. It's best to consult a doctor and get your thyroid levels and heart checked regularly to find the real cause.

Many times, gas or high acidity causes a fluttering feeling in the chest which we mistake for heart issues. Drinking a glass of warm fennel water can help soothe gas, but for any severe chest pain or breathlessness, please see a medical specialist immediately.

I know how terrifying it feels when your heart suddenly starts racing out of nowhere. It is so easy to fear the worst. Just know that you are not alone in feeling this way, and getting a medical checkup can give you so much peace of mind.

I completely overthink my heart rate and panic whenever it beats fast, which just makes the palpitations worse! If you're feeling scared, try sitting down and drinking some cold water, but definitely see a doctor if it feels serious.

At my age, seeing my monthly credit card bill is enough to give me heart palpitations! Usually, it's just stress or indigestion, but if it's a persistent fluttering, it is best to get a quick ECG done so you can sleep peacefully.

A basic ECG at a local lab is quite inexpensive and can quickly clear up whether your palpitations are something to worry about. Plan a routine cardiac package from a reliable diagnostics center to get a clear picture without overspending.

Try practicing deep breathing or drinking a glass of cool water to help calm the racing heart naturally. However, if the palpitations come with sudden weakness, dizziness, or chest pain, you should go to the hospital without any delay.

Most of the time, it's just too much coffee or anxiety making your heart do a little dance! But safety first, so definitely get it checked by a doc if it happens often or feels painful.
