Are gallstones and kidney stones the same?

A friend of mine recently suffered from kidney stones, and it sounded very painful. I've also heard about gallstones, and I was wondering if these two conditions are essentially the same thing, just in different parts of the body?

From what I know, they are totally different. Gallstones form in the gallbladder and are usually made of cholesterol, while kidney stones form in the urinary system. Please do consult a proper doctor to get a correct diagnosis if you are in pain.

No, they are completely different. Gallstones are in the digestive system, whereas kidney stones are in the urinary tract.

No, they are not the same at all. Kidney stones are often caused by calcium oxalate buildup, which is why diet changes like drinking plenty of water are so important. Gallstones are related to bile and fat processing. Both need different nutrition plans.

No, both are very different, ho na. Gallstones liver ke paas gallbladder mein hote hain, and kidney stones urinary system mein. Dono ka treatment aur pain bhi alag hota hai, bas dhyan se checkup karana chahiye.

Bro, my uncle had gallstones and I had kidney stones last year, and they are completely different beasts. Kidney stones can sometimes be flushed out with water, but gallstones usually need surgery if they start causing pain. Don't ignore it if it hurts.
