Are fluorescent lights bad for your mental health?

Working in an office with fluorescent lights all day, I often feel a bit drained or irritable by the end of the day. Someone mentioned that these lights can affect mental health. Is there any truth to this, or am I just imagining it?

Honestly, those white lights in offices make me feel like a potato under a microscope. Already I don't sleep, and then these lights just give me a massive headache by 2 PM. Switched my desk lamp to a warm yellow one and my soul feels slightly less dead now.

Bro, my college library has these creepy white lights and I swear they make me feel so depressed during exam season. I started studying near the balcony or just using my phone's night mode. Normal yellow lights are way better for the vibe, honestly.

Yes, they can make you feel quite drained and uneasy. Please try to take small breaks near a window if possible. Taking care of your peace of mind is very important, so don't ignore how it makes you feel.

I totally get it, those harsh lights can feel so cold and draining after a point. It is not just in your head, the constant glare really affects our energy levels and mental peace. Maybe try using a cap or just taking quick walks outside to reset your eyes.

They actually trigger eye strain and headaches for a lot of people, which directly messes with your mood. Try to step out into natural sunlight for 10 minutes every few hours. If you can't change the main ceiling lights, just use a small warm yellow desk lamp to balance it out.

I really feel so anxious and restless whenever I sit under those bright office tubelights for long. Does anyone else also get that weird, jittery feeling in their eyes and head? I thought I was just overthinking it, but it genuinely ruins my mood.
