Are egg whites good for diabetics?

I'm trying to find healthy protein options that don't affect my blood sugar too much. I've heard that egg whites are good for you. Are egg whites a good food choice for diabetics?

I am so tired today I can barely open my eyes, but yes, egg whites are actually a lifesaver. They have no sugar and tons of protein. I just scramble some when I don't have the energy to cook a proper meal.

Egg whites are generally considered a very safe protein source for diabetics as they have a negligible glycemic index. However, your overall kidney health and daily diet balance also matter. It is always best to run this by your consulting doctor.

They are amazing. High protein helps build muscle and keeps you full, which naturally controls blood sugar spikes. I have 4 egg whites daily after my gym session, combined with a clean diet. Highly recommend it.

Egg whites are wonderful for my son who manages diabetes. I make a quick egg white omelet with lots of onions, tomatoes, and spinach. It is a very safe breakfast option that doesn't spike his sugar at all.

I know how stressful it is to constantly worry about what to eat without spiking your levels. When I was diagnosed, I cried thinking I'd starve. Discovering egg whites was such a relief because they are totally safe and filling.
