Are digestive enzymes good for the liver?

I've been having some digestive troubles recently, and someone at the chemist shop suggested digestive enzyme supplements. I also have a mild fatty liver issue. Are these enzymes actually beneficial for the liver?

Digestive enzymes mainly help your stomach break down food, they don't directly treat or improve your liver health. Hope this helps!

I actually researched this extensively when my uncle had fatty liver. My doctor clearly explained that digestive enzymes are produced by the pancreas to digest food, not the liver. While they might help reduce bloating, they do not detox or improve liver function directly.

Please don't buy these random 'liver detox' or enzyme supplements sold online based on internet claims. Liver issues can be serious, and taking unnecessary supplements can load your liver even more. Always verify with a proper doctor first.

I understand you are looking for ways to stay healthy, but digestive enzymes are mostly just for stomach bloating. Please take care of your diet and consult a doctor if you are feeling unwell.

Honestly, I thought they were the same thing too! But my bio prof told me enzymes are just for digesting heavy food. For liver health, you just need to cut down on junk food and party drinks.
