Are corn chips bad for diabetics?

I really enjoy having a small packet of corn chips with my evening tea sometimes. My brother-in-law, who also has diabetes, told me they are very bad for blood sugar. Is it okay to have them in moderation or should I avoid them completely?

I totally get how exhausting it is to constantly worry about what you can eat. Corn chips are high in processed carbs and can cause quick sugar spikes, so it is best to avoid them.

Yeah, they spike my sugar levels crazy fast. I checked my CGM after eating just a handful of nachos and the graph went straight up. Better to avoid them.

I was looking up low-sugar snacks and saw that corn chips are mostly starch and unhealthy fats. It's probably best to skip them if you are managing diabetes.

A standard serving of corn chips is packed with simple carbs and has almost zero fiber. If you track your food, you'll see they aren't worth the massive glycemic load.

Yes, they are highly processed and bad for blood sugar. If you need a quick office snack, keep some roasted chana or almonds in your desk drawer instead.

They have a high glycemic index and are often deep-fried. If you really crave them, limit it to 4-5 chips paired with a high-protein dip like hung curd or hummus.

They have too much salt and processed carbs, which is bad for both blood pressure and diabetes. Stick to roasted makhana and get your regular vascular health checkups.

Processed snacks like these create heat and instability in the body. Choosing whole, fresh foods will help keep your energy levels and blood sugar calm and balanced.

They are definitely bad, especially because stopping at just one chip is chemically impossible! Save your sugar levels and hide the packet from yourself.

Even though they are vegetarian, fried corn chips lack nutritional value. Try making baked flaxseed crackers or baked beetroot chips at home for a safer snack.
