Are compression socks recommended for people with diabetes?

My neighbour, who also has diabetes, swears by compression socks for better circulation. I've been feeling some tingling in my feet recently. Is it a good idea for diabetics to use them regularly?

Please don't buy these based on online reviews or reels. If you have peripheral arterial disease or poor circulation from diabetes, tight compression can be very dangerous. Get your feet evaluated by your doctor first.

My feet swell up a lot in the evenings and I am diabetic. I want to buy these socks but I am really scared of hurting my blood circulation. Has anyone else tried them safely?

They can be a blessing for leg swelling, but getting them on is a Olympic-level sport for someone my age. Just ensure they are diabetic-friendly socks that don't bunch up or pinch your skin.

I panicked when my doctor first suggested them, thinking my foot issues were becoming severe. But actually, they are just a simple preventative tool to keep blood flowing well. They are very normal to wear.

Taking care of our feet is very important to keep our body active and grounded. Mild, diabetic-friendly compression socks can bring comfort, but always use them with a positive mind and doctor's blessing.

If you sit at a desk for 9 hours, they can help prevent blood pooling. However, since you have diabetes, only use the specific non-binding ones and inspect your feet daily for any red marks.
