Are chips bad for diabetics?

I love having a packet of chips with my evening chai. My doctor recently told me to watch my sugar levels because of my diabetes. So, I want to know, are chips bad for diabetics?

Buying those expensive potato chips packets is not only bad for your health but also your pocket, especially when you have to budget for regular glucose tests and doctor visits. Plain home-roasted makhana is a much cheaper and safer snack.

I get so anxious even seeing potato chips in the pantry because I worry they will cause a massive sugar spike for anyone in the family. They are high in simple carbs and sodium, so it's really best to avoid them completely to prevent any sudden spikes.

I had just half a packet of chips yesterday and felt so guilty and worried afterwards. Did anyone else notice a major jump in their glucose readings after eating them, or is a tiny portion once in a while okay?

Potato chips are basically starch fried in oil with a mountain of salt, so yeah, your blood sugar will throw a party if you eat them! Better to stay away unless you want your glucometer to start crying.

Look, potato chips are definitely not ideal for diabetes because of the heavy carbs and oil. But don't stress too much if you had a couple of bites. Just switch to roasted chana or baked beetroot chips from next time, chill!

With my insulin resistance from PCOS, I have to treat chips like a major red flag. They raise blood sugar rapidly. If you really want that crunch, roasted pumpkin seeds or cucumber slices with dip are much safer options.

My uncle was just diagnosed with diabetes and he is really craving something crunchy. Are baked soya chips or ragi chips safe for him to eat, or should we avoid all kinds of packaged chips entirely?

Haan na, packets waale chips toh bilkul achhe nahi hain sugar patients ke liye. Unme bahot trans fat aur refined carbs hota hai. Isse accha roasted peanut khao na, pet bhi bharega aur sugar bhi safe rahegi.
