Even though people say they are good, everyone's body reacts differently to starch. It is highly recommended that you check your fasting and post-prandial blood sugar after eating them to be absolutely sure they suit you.

My HbA1c came down from 8.2 to 6.4 recently. I replaced my white rice lunch with boiled chickpea salad twice a week. It kept me full and didn't cause any major sugar spikes. Highly recommend them.

Being Punjabi and diabetic is so hard because of the cravings! But chole chaat with lots of onions, tomatoes, and lemon juice is a lifesaver. It satisfies the tastebuds and is actually healthy too.

Don't stress about finding exotic superfoods for your diabetes. Chickpeas are a reliable, traditional food we have eaten for generations. Just have them in moderation and you will be completely fine, don't worry.

Too tired to cook fancy meals, so I just boil a big batch of chickpeas and keep them in the fridge. They are great for quick, lazy diabetic-friendly meals when you have zero energy left.

Look, simple logic is chickpeas are good because they have high fiber. But don't eat them with heavy bhature and say chickpeas are healthy! Eat them boiled or in simple home-cooked gravy.

I manage both my BP and sugar. Chickpeas help a lot with keeping the heart healthy too, but please make sure you don't add too much salt while boiling them. Keep getting your routine checkups done.

My teenage son has Type 1 diabetes and we often make roasted chickpeas as a crunchy evening snack for him. It is a fantastic, safe option compared to packet chips. He loves the taste too.

I totally get it, planning every single meal when you have diabetes is so exhausting. Chickpeas are actually a very safe bet because they digest slowly. It gives you one less thing to worry about.

Boiled black chana with a bit of ginger is a very old and reliable home food for sugar patients. But if your sugar levels are running very high or you feel dizzy, please go see your doctor immediately instead of relying on home diets.
