I noticed a small dark spot on my molar, but I don't feel any pain. I thought cavities always hurt. Are cavities painful?

Honestly at my age, every single thing hurts but cavity pain is on another level. It starts silently and then boom, one night you can't sleep at all. Better to get it filled before you are crying in the middle of the night.

I think it really depends on how deep the decay is, you know? Mine didn't hurt at first, but with my PCOS I try to stay extra careful about any body inflammation. Please get a dentist to look at it before it starts giving you trouble.

I had one last year and the nagging pain completely ruined my morning runs and workouts. If your doctor or dentist says it is fine to keep up your active routine, go for a light walk to distract yourself, but get the tooth fixed first.

They don't always hurt in the early stages, which is why we often ignore them. Once they reach the deeper pulp area, the pain can become quite severe and sharp. A proper dental checkup is the best way to catch them early.

Please don't wait like I did thinking a minor ache will just go away. I ignored a tiny twinge for months and ended up needing a painful root canal treatment. Go see a dentist immediately even if it is just a mild sensation.

Don't go by what people online say about clove oil curing everything, that only masks the pain temporarily. A cavity is physical structural damage in the tooth. Only a qualified dentist can tell you if it needs a filling or more.

Actually, initially it doesn't hurt at all, yaar. But once the cold water starts hitting that spot, the shock is real. Don't wait for the pain to get crazy, just get it checked by a doc now only.

Between back-to-back office meetings, a sudden toothache is the absolute worst thing that can happen. Initially they don't hurt, but once it starts, you will lose precious working hours. Better to block an hour this weekend and get it sorted.

In my experience, cavities can be completely silent for months before the real throbbing pain kicks in. If you feel any sensitivity while eating sweets, that is your cue. Book an appointment, get a quick filling, and it is done in twenty minutes.

I am writing this at 3 AM because my tooth is humming like a generator and sleep is a distant dream. Yes, they are incredibly painful when they want to be. Save yourself from this sleepless nightmare and visit a doctor tomorrow.

For me, the pain only started when I drank very cold water or had sweet tea. Before that, I actually had no idea there was even a cavity inside my molar. It was a complete surprise during my routine dental cleanup.

Beta, cavities definitely become painful once they deep-root into the gum. Pressing a clove near the aching area can give you some temporary relief for the night. But remember, this is just to manage the pain, you must visit a doctor to clean it.
