Are cavities contagious?

I heard someone say that cavities can spread from person to person. Is it true that cavities are contagious?

I was actually researching this online because my roommate has terrible teeth. It turns out the cavity-causing bacteria can spread through saliva sharing. It sounds crazy but it's true, so maybe keep your cups separate!

Haan, log sochte hain ki yeh contagious nahi hain, but actually the bacteria can spread through saliva, na. It's better not to share spoons or cups with someone who has lots of active cavities. Simple hygiene helps!

Yes, bacteria transfers easily. If your family members have cavities, it's cheaper to plan a group dental checkup for 500 Rs than to wait and pay thousands later for multiple root canals. Proper planning saves so much cash!

I totally get it, worrying about catching dental issues from your loved ones can feel quite stressful. While the bacteria can pass through sharing drinks, you can easily protect yourself with regular brushing. Don't worry too much about it!

The bacteria can definitely spread through saliva, but your overall oral environment matters more. Just like staying fit with regular workouts, keeping a low-sugar diet and brushing well helps your body fight off these bacteria easily.

At this point, I feel like even looking at a sweet shop is contagious for my teeth! Jokes aside, yes, sharing spoons can transfer the bacteria. Better to keep your own plate separate to save your teeth and your peace of mind.
