Are cavities common?

It seems like everyone I know has had a cavity at some point. I'm wondering, are cavities actually that common among people?

In my long life, I have rarely met anyone who has never had a single cavity. They are extremely common, so there is no need to worry. Just keep cleaning your teeth properly twice a year at the clinic.

They are very common, but please do not take them lightly. I ignored a simple cavity because 'everyone gets them' and it turned into a severe bone infection under my tooth. Please see a doctor to get it treated early.

Yes, they are incredibly common and almost everyone gets them at some point. Don't worry too much about it.

Yes, they are highly common, especially if you eat a lot of processed carbs. Since I manage diabetes, I have to be extra careful with sugars as high blood glucose can increase the risk of decay. Always keep your diet in check.

Yes, almost every second person has them. It's nothing to feel weird about. Just book a slot with a good dentist this weekend, get the filling done, and resolve the issue directly.

They are very common indeed. A practical way to avoid them is to brush twice daily and do a warm salt water gargle after heavy meals. It's a simple habit that saves you from frequent dentist trips.

They are super common, but treating them late gets very expensive. A basic filling costs around 800-1500 Rs, but a root canal will easily cost you 4000-8000 Rs. Plan a budget checkup now to save money later.
