Are blueberries good after vomiting?

My little one had a stomach bug and was vomiting all morning. Now he's feeling a bit better and wants something to eat. Would giving him a few blueberries be okay, or should I stick to plainer foods?

Please be careful. I once ignored severe vomiting and tried to self-manage, which led to extreme dehydration and a hospital stay. If you can't keep any liquids or food down, don't try eating fruits, go see a doctor immediately.

If you are diabetic and vomiting, your blood sugar levels can behave very unpredictably. Blueberries are gentle, but you should monitor your glucose levels closely and consult your doctor if the vomiting doesn't stop.

Whenever my kids vomit, I avoid giving them any solid fruits immediately as it might irritate their stomach again. Start with simple ORS or warm water first, and then slowly introduce soft foods like mashed banana before berries.

They are safe, but since blueberries are quite expensive, you might want to stick to simpler options like a cup of salted rice water or a banana first to settle your stomach. Save your money for proper medicines or doctor visits if it continues.

A few fresh blueberries can definitely help clean that sour taste! 🫐 Just make sure they are washed well and eat them slowly. Hope you feel much better soon! ✨

Man, I’m so exhausted I can barely keep my eyes open, but honestly, eating cold, solid fruits right after vomiting sounds like a gamble. Stick to coconut water or simple liquid first unless you want to see those berries again.

I completely understand how awful and exhausting it feels after vomiting, it literally drains all your energy. Don't force yourself to eat anything heavy. If you feel like having a few blueberries, take it very slow and see how your stomach feels.

I had a bad stomach bug last month and cold blueberries were the only thing that tasted okay to me. They are light and not too sweet. Just don't eat too many at once, start with just three or four.

I can only share what worked for me, but after a bad bout of stomach flu, I waited a few hours and then had some cold blueberries. They felt very refreshing and didn't upset my stomach, but everyone is different.

Give your stomach some time to recover first. Hydrate with electrolytes first, then move to bland solids. Blueberries are fine because they are easy to digest, but don't rush into eating them immediately after an episode.

Ugh, vomiting is the absolute worst because it ruins your appetite! Once your stomach settles, having a few cold, juicy blueberries is actually super refreshing and helps get rid of that awful taste in your mouth.

In my experience, it is always best to let the stomach rest for at least two to three hours after vomiting. Once you feel a bit stable, small portions of light fruits like blueberries are perfectly fine to eat. Take it easy.
