Are bladder stones and kidney stones the same?

My friend recently had an operation for kidney stones. I've also heard about bladder stones and was wondering if they are the same thing. Are they formed for similar reasons or are they different conditions?

Man, my baby didn't let me sleep all night so my brain is fried, but I know this much: they aren't the same. One forms in your bladder and the other in the kidneys. Both sound like a nightmare I never want to experience, honestly.

Actually, they are different! Kidney stones form in the kidneys, and bladder stones form in the urinary bladder, usually when the bladder doesn't empty properly. My roommate had kidney stones last semester and it looked super painful.

No, they are different. Kidney stones originate in the kidneys, while bladder stones develop when urine gets concentrated in the bladder itself. Keeping the body well-hydrated and practicing gentle yoga twists can help maintain smooth urinary flow.

They are different. Just like my thyroid issues require constant monitoring, any urinary tract or kidney issues need regular sonography tests and doctor follow-ups to make sure the stones aren't growing or causing damage.

No, they are different conditions with different treatment lines. My uncle was treated for bladder stones at Kokilaben Hospital recently. I highly suggest you consult a urologist to get a clear diagnosis and the right treatment plan.

Many people get confused by this! They are not the same. While both are mineral deposits, they form in different organs and have different causes. If you or someone else is in pain, it's always best to get an ultrasound done to be sure.

Haan na, they sound similar but are quite different actually. Kidney stones direct renal system mein hote hain, and bladder stones are further down where urine collects. Pain dono mein bohot hota hai, isliye paani peete rehna chahiye.
