Are black grapes good for diabetics?

I was diagnosed with diabetes a few years back and I miss eating fruits freely. My wife brought home some black grapes, and I was wondering if they are safe for me to eat. Will they increase my sugar levels too much?

Hey, don't stress too much! Black grapes are fine to eat, but they do have natural sugars. Just have a small handful, like 10-12 grapes, instead of a whole bowl, and you'll be perfectly fine.

Since black grapes can be a bit expensive depending on the season, I keep them as an occasional treat. I plan my sugar tests regularly, so I only buy them when my monthly reports show my levels are well under control.

They contain beneficial antioxidants like resveratrol, but their glycemic load can be moderate. It is always highly recommended to consult your doctor or dietician to see how they fit into your specific meal plan.

My doctor at Medanta told me that while black grapes have health benefits, they can spike sugar fast if eaten in excess. Please ask your doctor clearly about the exact limit for your condition.

Yes, they are fine in moderation. Just make sure to limit yourself to a very small portion at a time.
