Are almonds bad for kidney stones?

I recently had a kidney stone, and my doctor advised me to be careful with my diet. I usually enjoy eating almonds for a snack. Are almonds bad for kidney stones, or are they generally safe to consume?

They contain high levels of oxalates, which can contribute to calcium oxalate stones. Drinking coconut water and plenty of plain water throughout the day is a good traditional way to keep the kidneys clean, but you must reduce heavy nuts if you are prone to stones.

I freaked out when I found out almonds have oxalates because I eat them daily. But my doctor reassured me that I don't need to cut them out completely, just eating them along with calcium-rich foods like yogurt helps bind the oxalates before they reach the kidneys.

Mere pitaji ko kidney stones absolute frequency pe hote hain. The urologist clearly told him to avoid almonds, cashews, and spinach because they are very high in oxalates. If you already have a history of stones, it is better to avoid them.

Yes, almonds are definitely not recommended if you have calcium oxalate kidney stones. They are loaded with oxalates which is the primary building block of these stones. Cut them out and stick to safer options like walnuts.

If you have a history of calcium oxalate stones, almonds can indeed be problematic because of their high oxalate content. It is best to consult your doctor for a customized diet chart rather than guessing which foods are safe.

While drinking barley water or lemon juice daily is a great natural way to prevent stones, you must watch your diet. Almonds do have high oxalates, so reduce them. If you experience severe side-back pain, don't rely on home tips, see a doctor immediately.

Haan bhai, badam khane se pathri ki dikkat badh sakti hai kyunki isme oxalates hote hain. Humare yahan ke doctor sahab ne bhi pathri wale mareezon ko badam kam khane ko bola hai. Khub paani piyo aur dhyaan rakho apna.

Please be very careful with almonds. I ignored my doctor's advice and kept eating badam daily, which caused my small kidney stone to grow rapidly and eventually required surgery due to a blockage. Get your stone type analyzed by a urologist first.

Great, first I lose sleep and now I find out my healthy snack might give me painful stones. Apparently, yes, badam is high in oxalates. If you love them too much, drink a gallon of water to help flush things out, or just ask a doc.

Actually yaar, badam contain high oxalates, so if you are prone to stones, they are a big no-no. My doctor told me to switch to walnuts instead because they have much lower oxalate levels and are safer.
