Are all plasma proteins made in the liver?

As part of my continued medical education, I'm reviewing details about human physiology. Specifically regarding plasma proteins, I'm trying to confirm if all plasma proteins are synthesized in the liver, or if there are exceptions.

When my father had liver issues, the doctor checked his albumin levels, which are made in the liver. But the doctor also explained that some proteins, like immunoglobulins which help fight infections, are actually made by plasma cells in the immune system.

I was looking at my blood test reports and saw low globulin levels, which is making me really anxious about my liver health. Has anyone else had abnormal plasma protein levels? Is it always a sign of a serious liver problem?

I love eating mutton curry and butter chicken, so I am always curious how my body processes all that protein. While most plasma proteins like albumin are manufactured by our liver, those disease-fighting globulins come from our immune system. Science is quite fascinating, isn't it?

I have been managing my blood pressure for five years now with medicine and daily walks. While I don't know the exact science behind plasma proteins, I know that keeping your liver and kidneys healthy through a low-sodium diet and routine blood tests is crucial.

Most of them are made in the liver, like albumin and clotting factors, but gamma globulins are made by our immune system! 🧬 It is always best to let your doctor explain your liver function test reports to avoid any confusion. 😊
